Day 1

My first impressions of New Zealand after the terribly long flight in was that its a way nicer winter than we have. G Once we met Alec i knew that he would make the trip a blast. He seemes really cool. Once we got on the coach bus we drove for three hours. Our first stop was at a town called Mata Mata, they had alot of shops and little resturants to eat at. My first meal in New Zealand was French Fries and Lasagna cubes.  The cool part of Mata Mata was a statue on golum from lord of the rings. It didnt look like him to much but it was still unique. 

  We drove for another hour before we stopped at our hotel. The Hotel room was small and we had three guys in one room. We had time to shower then we left the hotel, we went to a big hill and we rode a cable car up to a course where we could luge. Lugging was so much fun, my brother wipped out on the beginner track. Arnoud and I raced down the advanced track he beat me the first time and i won the second race. it was a ton of fun. I hope the rest of the trip just gets better and better.
